I finally got GIMP.
It wouldn't load past the 'fonts'. I moved some of the fonts to a temporary storage folder. GIMP now works for me. I am happy. |

I'm so used to PS that it annoys me so I don't use it, but I know first hand that it can do just about everything that I need for photos and web design. You've just got to learn your way around the interface.
So good luck, and I can't wait to see that little extra in your already nice photos.

Yeah, I know my way around PS alrightly, but I haven't used it in so long that I've sorta forgotten everything. Hopefully when I start back to school in the fall (oooh, that phrase never ceases to make me happy!) I can brush up on my skills. Or lack thereof.
Mainly, I wanted to be able to adjust levels and such, something I couldn't do with either of my other editing programs, as well as freehand the brightness, contrast, color, etc...I'm somewhat impressed, but I'm a little dissuaded I had to move half my fonts so I could get it to work. Granted I had a lot (some I'd downloaded extra) but they're not all that bad.
