Please note: this is not a political statement. I don't agree with these views at all, but if you do, then good for you! Feel free to message me about it--heck, IM me (MyLaundryStinks)--but please don't turn my photo into a forum for the good or bad political moves of George W. Bush's years in office. Thank you.
The whole reason why I took this photo is because of what it means to me. It's the first photojournalistic photo I ever took, and I took it on a very basic 35mm camera that barely even had a zoom lens.
Somewhere around here are the negatives. I need to get them scanned to a cd so I can put up a decent version of this. It's super grainy and not the greatest version. I'm surprised it's gotten as much traffic as it has.
I was walking to class, I think, across Sanford Mall at Appalachian, and there was some anti-war/Bush protest/demonstration going on at the other end of the field. All I had was my happy snaps 35mm camera, but where I stopped to watch the action, I just happened to be in line with the protest signs. So I took a picture, and then kept walking. I didn't realize it was going to look as cool as it did, though. I really need to find the negatives and get it scanned to a disc so i can get a better image. I think this is a scan of a scan.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

True peace is not merely the absence of tension: it is the presence of justice.
